How I was victimised & banned for life from @Morrisons #Kidderminster for simply trying to peacefully shop for the Basic Essentials

Today I went into Morrison’s Kidderminster Store in the midst of the Corona Virus Pandemic to get essentials that I need for my survival & the experience was nothing short of the worst shopping experience I’ve ever had in my life!!

Firstly I waited patiently outside the store with the other customers & entered the store when I was told I could. I went around the shop floor getting all the essentials I needed & I noticed out the corner of my eye that I was being followed around the store by their Security Guard. I didn’t react to this & carried on doing my shopping & I then went to the checkouts to pay for the items & their Security Guard was at the checkouts & started walking over to me. He pointed to the Self-Service Checkouts & told me to use them. I was fine with this, but I did tell him to move further back from where he was standing as he wasn’t 2 metres away. This is clearly defined by the UK Government as part of new measures to tackle the spread of Corona Virus in Britain by enforcing Social Distancing.

Eventually the Security Guard took the order from his colleague to move further back from where he was standing & I was then able to safely get to the Self-Service Checkout. At this point the Checkout Supervisor who told the Security Guard to stand back started walking towards me & at this point I took my phone out of my pocket to take a photo of it, because it just seemed to me that they weren’t complying with Social Distancing rules. When I took a photo of her, she told me that I was banned & that I couldn’t buy my shopping & to leave the store immediately. I said No, you have no authority to make that decision & so I want to speak to the Store Manager.

Then one of their Junior Market Street Managers came over & I was able to speak to him in somewhat of a calm manner & I thought I’d rectified the situation by the time I had stopped talking to him about the security guard & checkout supervisor. He told me everything was ok & I then went to pay for my shopping. He went over a spoke to the Checkout Supervisor & he then came back over to me. He told me to delete the photo that I’d taken on my phone & to prove to him that I’d done it or he wasn’t going to allow me to buy my shopping & said I’d be banned from the store for life if I didn’t comply with his request.

I told him that I wasn’t prepared to delete the photo & to my knowledge there isn’t such a law that stops people from taking evidence when they’re put in such precarious situations like this, which has made me feel victimised & singled out by them. He then told me I couldn’t have my shopping & to get out the store immediately or they’d contact the Police. At this point I didn’t struggle or refuse to leave the store & their Security Guard grabbed at my left arm, I pulled it away from him & said can you not touch me please I’m not struggling or refusing to leave I’m going! 

He then let go of my arm & I walked out of the store. He told me if I ever go back in that store again I’ll be locked up in Prison.

Who to vote for in the 2020 #LabourLeadershipElection & Why we MUST continue our fight for Socialism in Britain!

Almost as soon as the result of the 2019 General Election was announced & our heartbreaking defeat was declared @UKLabour made an immediate move to pressure Jeremy Corbyn into standing down as the Leader of our Party. The results of the election were announced during the early hours of 13th December when Polling Stations had closed & counts got underway immediately. When Jeremy went to the result of his count in Islington which he won by a landslide he announced that he'd be resigning as Leader of our Party.

The very next morning on BBC News they were manoeuvring to try to persuade the public on who his replacement should be. It has always been the desire of Blairite Centrists within The Labour Party to remove Jeremy Corbyn at any cost, as their objective has only ever been about protecting their own vested financial interests & obstructing Socialism.

When it was officially announced that a Labour Leadership Election would be happening, many Blairite Centrists emerged from the woodwork vying to replace Jeremy Corbyn. Emily Thornberry, Jess Philips, Lisa Nandy, Rebecca Long-Bailey, Keir Starmer & Clive Lewis all announced they'd be standing as candidates in the upcoming leadership election, which will be decided in due course over the next few weeks.

Over the last couple of weeks internal ballots have rightly eliminated both Jess Philips & Emily Thornberry from the contest & now just Rebecca Long-Bailey, Keir Starmer & Lisa Nandy remain & one of them will be declared as the new Leader of The Labour Party in the next few weeks.

We'll have a closer look at each of the candidates in further detail shortly, but let's first start by saying that the ONLY Socialist Candidates in the race were Rebecca Long-Bailey & Clive Lewis. All the others are Blairite Centrist Rebels who've all contributed greatly towards why our party lost the last 2 Elections because of their continual infighting , smearing & persistently undermining the leadership of Jeremy Corbyn for the past 4 years, for no other reason than to deliberately obstruct Socialism in Britain. Clive Lewis was the first candidate to pull out of the race & so the hopes of Socialists all over this country now rest solely with Rebecca Long-Bailey as the ONLY Socialist Candidate fit to lead our party into the next election whenever that might be.

The Voting Record's of the 2020 Labour Leadership Candidates

Now lets have a closer look at how each of the Leadership Candidates voted on various policy area's over the last few years...

Rebecca Long-Bailey (Socialist)

It's important to note even without looking too hard at all that Rebecca Long-Bailey is the Stand-out Socialist Candidate, who should by rights be the most popular candidate to replace Jeremy Corbyn. She has always consistently voted AGAINST all of the Tories Savage Welfare Cuts, voted AGAINST renewing Trident, Voted AGAINST the CETA Trade Deal, plus she has always had complete confidence in Jeremy Corbyn as Leader of our Party by nominating him in 2015 & by voting confidence in him when Blairites tried to oust him.

Its also important to mention that Rebecca Long-Bailey has always taken the right stance on Brexit by not arguing that our party should back a second referendum which was consistently pushed on Corbyn by blairite rebels seeking to undermine him.

Rebecca Long-Bailey was nominated by all the other amazing advocates for Socialism within our party, including Diane Abbott, Richard Burgon (Deputy Leader Candidate), Ian Lavery & John McDonnell who has announced he will also be resigning as Shadow Chancellor in due course. 

At the time this info-graphic was produced it wasn't known whether or not Rebecca Long-Bailey backed Open Selection but she has since clarified that she does indeed support it & that Open Selection will be implemented should she be successful in winning the Labour Leadership in the next few weeks time.

I've given Rebecca Long-Bailey a vote-ability score of 8/10. She would have achieved 10/10 had she refused to sign the Board of Deputies 10 Pledges recently & so for that reason I've rated her at 8/10, still the highest rated candidate in the field by far to replace Jeremy Corbyn as Leader of @UKLabour.

Lisa Nandy (Blairite Centrist)

In terms of Lisa Nandy's rating, I'd say she's the 2nd Highest Rated Candidate to replace Jeremy Corbyn however she is still a notable Blairite Centrist and a rebel to our cause as her voting record suggests.

When MP's were voting on the Tories Welfare Reforms Lisa was on maternity leave & so her position on opposing the tories sinister cuts to welfare & the disaster that is Universal Credit remain unknown. In her credit Lisa also voted against the renewal of Trident & so this suggests she is opposed to Nuclear War which I can respect. 

However the most notable area where Nandy is massively out-of-touch with the majority of party members is that she didn't vote any Confidence in Jeremy Corbyn when they tried & failed to oust him, in much the same distasteful way as she didn't nominate Jeremy to be the Leader of our party in 2015. Instead she chose to nominate Owen Smith. Her position on Brexit is correct however as she doesn't back a second referendum, which evidently contributed greatly to our heartbreaking defeat in the 2019 General Election. It's unknown whether she backs Open Selection or not, as we haven't heard anything from her on the subject & the question hasn't been posed to her as far as I'm aware.

Jess Philips (Tory Plant/Heavy Blairite)

There isn't even anything remotely positive I could say about Jess Philips to be bluntly honest, her voting record is woeful & her lack of support for Jeremy Corbyn along with her constant obsession with undermining his leadership at every opportunity is even more woeful & in fact downright disgraceful! Let's have a closer look at her voting record anyway.

Unsurprisingly she didn't vote against any of the Tories Savage Welfare "Reforms" & the roll-out of Universal Credit, in much the same way as her complete silence on these Critical Issues speaks volumes about what Jess Philips really thinks about so many million's of people suffering in situations of Dire Poverty, Homelessness & Destitution in Britain. She is morally repugnant in every sense of the word and as tory as they come, as her vote for renewing Trident suggests she's all for Nuclear War too. She also chose not to vote against the CETA Trade Deal. She's never had the slightest bit of respect for Jeremy Corbyn & this was reflected when she voted no-confidence in his leadership. She also didn't nominate Jeremy Corbyn to be the leader of our party in 2015 & was a big part of the reason why we lost GE2019 by adopting the wrong stance on Brexit & a Second Referendum which she along with Keir Starmer & Emily Thornberry all argued the case for.

The mere fact that Philips was nominated by Margaret Hodge is also a very notable reason why she was the first candidate to be eliminated from the Labour Leadership Race. Jess Philips is about as tory as they come whilst still claiming to be a party member. In fact I'd say she only joined the party & stood to be an MP in order to undermine the success of our party & be a tory plant like she has been for her entire political career.

Keir Starmer (Blairite Centrist)

Keir Starmer is what I can only describe as a problem for Socialism & a snakeish kind of Blairite Centrist whose always consistently undermined the leadership of Jeremy Corbyn on several occasions. He never nominated Jeremy to be our leader & he didn't vote confidence in him when they tried to oust him either. Along with the other blairite centrists in his category he also chose not to vote against any of the tories deeply sinister & flawed welfare policies which have tragically claimed over 154,000 People's lives in our country since 2010.

Keir Starmer also voted for the renewal of Trident because much like the other blairite rebels in his category, Keir too believes in Nuclear War.

The most important reason NOT to vote for Keir Starmer to be the next leader of our party is because he's the biggest architect of the reason why we lost the last election, by forcing Jeremy Corbyn's hand into backing a Second Referendum on Brexit. The single most reason why we were heavily defeated in the 2019 General Election. As a party we got our position on Brexit wrong & we should have respected the peoples decision to Leave and never mentioned a Second Referendum, it contributed greatly to our loss.

Emily Thornberry (Blairite Centrist)

The only thing that Emily Thornberry has going in her favour as a candidate to be the next Leader of our party is that she did nominate Jeremy Corbyn in 2015 & she voted confidence in Jeremy when blairites tried to oust him. Aside from that it has to be said that Thornberry's voting record suggests she is anything but a Socialist & so I'm not altogether sure why she nominated a Socialist to be the leader of our party. She voted in favour of all the tories savage welfare reforms which have had tragically caused the deaths of over 154,000 people in Britain since 2010 & for this reason alone she can never claim to be a Socialist, her votes have obstructed Socialism in this country and suggest she's a Blairite Centrist slightly leaning towards some aspects of Socialism which is why she nominated Jeremy Corbyn. On the renewal of Trident she abstained, which suggests shes neutral on whether shes for or against Nuclear War.

As with Keir Starmer, Emily Thornberry was on the front-lines of the argument that Labour should back a Second Referendum & as such pushed Jeremy Corbyn into taking the completely wrong stance on Brexit, which tragically cost our party so dear in the last election. The result of the election has shown evidently that The Labour Party lost the most seats in constituencies which voted as a majority to Leave in the EU Referendum. It's not known whether Emily Thornberry backs Open Selection or not as we've not exactly heard her being too vocal on the matter, in fact the only candidates who've openly stated they do back Open Selection are Rebecca Long-Bailey & Richard Burgon.

Conclusion

I've had a closer look at all of the Labour Leadership Candidates in further detail & I've awarded each candidate a mark out of 10 based solely on their Socialist Principles & their allegiance to Jeremy Corbyn since he became Leader of our party. 

Rebecca Long-Bailey is by far the stand out candidate for party members to vote for who believe in True Socialist Principles & who also backs Open Selection. RLB has also stated she will offer Jeremy Corbyn a place in her Shadow Cabinet & has consistently supported his leadership from the first day he became Leader of our party.

The lowest scoring candidate was Jess Philips 0/10 but luckily she withdrew from the race after realising she realistically stood no chance of winning whatsoever, too many party members can see straight through her & realise shes nothing less than a tory plant who joined our party to cause trouble & stop us from winning an election for the last 4 years.

Out of the other candidates still in the race Keir Starmer & Lisa Nandy, I've rated Starmer as 2nd Lowest Candidate Overall for much the same reason as Jess Philips & Emily Thornberry. Primarily because Keir Starmer is a Blairite Centrist who opposes Socialism & because he forced our party to adopt completely the wrong stance on Brexit in the last election which cost the people of this country a Socialist People's Government.

The Contest for the Leadership of the Labour Party has stepped up a gear this week as the leadership candidates continue to pit themselves against one another in a battle for the top job of leading the party into the 2020 General Election, as they seek to regain some credibility amongst the British people. The momentum in the leadership campaign and the opinion of core Labour supporters is absolutely behind Jeremy Corbyn & also behind the ideology of a newly reformed & re-branded Labour Party which is built on True Socialist Values.

Jeremy Corbyn certainly has the right mindset in terms of his voice of opposition to the brutal public sector & welfare cuts & austerity measures that this Conservative administration have implemented since coming to power in 2010. Corbyn also wants to re-nationalise the railways and energy providers and this is certainly what needs to happen because our public services should be based on providing core services to the public and certainly not for the purposes of making huge profits for private corporations. Jeremy Corbyn has stated that he wants to see a fairer, kinder Britain which will be based on innovation, decent jobs and effective public services for all people in this country.

Yesterday ‘The Daily Mirror’ made an official statement on Social Media pledging their support for Andy Burnham to be the next Labour leader which came as a shock surprise to many of their readers and myself included. They say that Andy Burnham is the only Prime Minister in waiting in the leadership contest and that he simply must be the next leader of the party because he combines proven experience with passion and principles. I do feel that it’s dangerous for a national newspaper to be taking sides in this leadership contest and then posting it on social media to try and sway the minds of their readers into believing their own principles. I believe that the decision of exactly who leads the Labour Party into the next general election should be the sole decision of core Labour supports amongst the British people and it’s not healthy to see the media taking sides and the potential leaders turning against one another in their own battle for the top job.

Whilst I completely agree with Jeremy Corbyns principles on opposing the brutal Austerity & Welfare reform implemented over the last 5 years, I do however have a deep concern that the Labour Party has not truly learnt from the mistakes made during the recent general election. The levels of immigration in this country at the moment are deeply concerning and we simply cannot carry on allowing uncontrolled amounts of people to enter and settle in our country.

We do need to be realistic here and understand that in comparison to the rest of the world, Britain is a relatively small country with an infrastructure that is already under exceptional pressure and strain from the public sector cuts and austerity measures imposed under this Conservative administration. It is somewhat foolish for any potential leader to take a defensive stance in support of immigration in its current form because the risks to our children’s futures in this country is real, the risks to the good health of our population are also real. We simply cannot allow uncontrolled amounts of people into this country at a time when our public services are under such exceptional strain due to a rising population mixed with the cuts and austerity measures. It is quite simply a recipe for disaster for any potential leader to wade into a leadership contest and not be able to address these core issues. It demonstrates that the Labour Party have not learnt the lessons of the past and continue to represent views which are totally out of touch with many people in this country.

In the recent General Election official statistics suggested that in excess of 3.89 Million British people voted for the UK Independence Party who are considered to be even more to the right of what the Conservatives are. However they are the only British political party that opposes Immigration in its current form and they also oppose Britains membership of the monstrous dictatorship that has become the Europan Union. So if the Labour Party want to try and regain some appeal and credibility amongst Conservative and UKIP voters then they do need to begin addressing the real issues that many British people have such deep concerns about. It is foolish to seek to rebrand a party based on socialist principles and to completely ignore the mistakes they made in the past which led to 3.89 million people voting for UKIP. Surely a potential leader would want to try to get the Labour Party more in tune with the common public opinion surrounding levels of Immigration and our membership of the European Union.

This really does leave many people including myself in a terrible predicament where we do support the Labour Party on their approach to opposing Austerity. However I am unable to pledge complete support to them whilst they remain a party that is clueless on the effects of mass immigration and exactly how it is impacting on the lives of ordinary British people up and down this country. A new socialist Britain would be very welcomed amongst many people I’m sure but whilst the core issues of a soaring population remain unaddressed then these new socialist principles will fall flat on their face.

I will be watching the outcome of the Labour leadership contest very closely in the coming weeks, it is expected that we should know the eventual outcome on or around September 12th and I will be hoping that we do see that Jeremy Corbyn is given the opportunity to lead the Labour Party in a new direction and to mount a hard challenge to the current Conservative administration. I do look forward to seeing how Corbyn will stand up to David Cameron in Prime Ministers Questions and I’m sure we will see plenty of heated debates and exchanges between them in the coming weeks and months ahead.

The UK #HousingCrisis & the Growing Problem of Rogue Private Landlords. Read my full article here.

Whilst it is an admirable act to provide private rented accommodation to people, it is absolutely disgraceful to offer accommodation if the property un-maintained and in a major state of disrepair. These kind of private landlords are making exceptional profits from the rental income which they receive from local councils and hard working people, yet they invest absolutely nothing back into their properties for the effective long term upkeep and maintenance standards of them.

In fact my own landlord back in 2014 who is the director of Worcester Lettings & Developments is one of the top receivers of housing benefit in the City of Worcester. Official statistics and research conducted by The Daily Mirror discovered that Worcester Lettings & Developments received a grand total of £147,026 in Housing Benefit payments in 2014. Thus making them the top receiver of housing benefit payments in the City of Worcester. Very little investment has been put back into the maintenance and fixing the major issues of disrepair amongst the various properties this company rents out to benefit claimants.

This kind of selfish greed just destroys the lives of the tenants who are made to live in such rundown properties and these issues can have serious ramifications on a persons well being both physically and mentally, which I personally find completely abhorrent & morally wrong on every level.

Across the UK there are now more than 9 Million people in privately rented accommodation, which includes over 1.3 Million families with young children. Unfortunately in many areas of Britain it is extremely difficult for anyone on benefits to be able to rent accommodation in the private sector. There are often a select minority of Private Landlords in all towns and cities across the UK who are willing to accept tenants on housing benefit.

The very real problems that we have in the UK right now are that Homelessness and tenants living in poorly maintained & inadequate housing are all contributing towards a national housing crisis. When I make mention of Private Landlords who fail to keep their properties up to standard and consistently shirk their responsibilities to their tenants, it is important to remember that this is the case for some and not all private landlords. Mainly some of these dodgy private landlords that I speak of are mainly renting properties to people in receipt of housing benefit. It seems that they have a loathing contempt for anyone who depends on benefits and they must see it as acceptable to ignore maintenance issues as their main focus is to extract as much rental income from the property as possible without putting a penny back in as investment towards the long-term upkeep of their entire property portfolio in some areas of the country.

It is completely unacceptable and downright disgraceful for any businessman to make a business which in essence makes exceptional profits from other people’s suffering and misfortune. The only people who ever pay the price for such corrupted behaviour are the tenants themselves and all too often we are seeing people’s Physical & Mental health being degraded when they’re stuck in poorly maintained properties in the private sector.

Unfortunately U.K. Legislation is currently protecting these breed of rogue landlords as although they are duty bound to keep their properties to certain standards of maintenance, the law allows them to evict tenants who follow official protocol and report these issues to the council for action to be taken. The law should be in favour of the tenants who are often made to pay the ultimate price of their physical and metal health living in such situations of squalor on a day to day basis.

In my own situation I am currently renting a one bedroom flat in a not so affluent area of Worcester from a landlord who I have since found to be one of the worst landlords in the city. The flat I’m currently renting has major maintenance issues including but not limited to, a leaking roof which has made the bedroom in the property completely inhabitable. The leak is coming from the roof because the property has a flat roof construction with no felt or insulation of any kind in place. This causes water to leak into the corner wall of the bedroom and the surrounding walls which you can see from the photos in this article. In the winter months this causes the temperature inside the property to plummet and last winter these conditions almost killed me.

 

I have notified the landlord about these issues on several occasions now and each time I am consistently fobbed off by the landlord who says he will get the maintenance guy round. I have only ever seen this maintenance guy on 2 occasions the first being when I viewed the property in the Summer of 2014. At this time the severe maintenance issues were not apparent to me as the weather was dry and the issues must have been masked over in order to get a tenant moved into the property. The second time I saw the maintenance guy was when he came round to have a look at the leak in the roof in Winter last year and at this point he simply looked at the roof and stated “Oh it’s not as bad as I thought it would be, I’ll let the landlord know”, this was the last time I saw the maintenance guy. Although he does spend a lot of time parked outside the landlords property in his pretty little blue van that the landlord bought for him, he apparently doesn’t actually do a great deal of work. I’ve seen him in the local newsagents on a number of occasions buying 40 cigarettes at a time and just going and sitting in his van outside the landlords well maintained property on Tolladine Road, Worcester and doing absolutely nothing whilst the landlords tenants are suffering in dilapidated Properties with maintenance issues completely unaddressed.

This is part of a wider problem in the U.K. right now and seems to commonly prevail in Worcester amongst private landlords who rent properties to people in receipt of housing benefit. It increasingly seems that these landlords find it acceptable to degrade and punish their tenants for being on housing benefits. They see it as acceptable to ignore maintenance issues and force their tenants to live in states of severe disrepair whilst they reap the profits from their tenants suffering and get to go to sleep in a warm bed each night with a nice well maintained roof over their heads. I really don’t know how these landlords are able to sleep at night knowing full well the misery and suffering they are causing their tenants, I suggest that these people lack any sort of empathy or common respect for people and they most certainly lack a good heart.

I am all for good business ethics and I will always wholeheartedly recommend a good business when I come across one as you can see from my review articles posted on this website. However when there are rogue businesses in operation who make exceptional profits from the suffering of others, this is something that I am firmly against and I will use every opportunity I have to speak out against bad business ethics and corruption which nobody should tolerate in this country as it is abhorrently disgraceful.

Firstly my apologies to those interested in my blog that I've not posted for the last couple of days, I've been busy making job applications for a few jobs that I've seen advertised that no doubt will even be read by the employers, but hey i’m pretty used to hearing nothing back from job applications by now. I have been really struggling lately to find any suitable job vacancies, it seems that 95% of jobs available in Worcester at this present time require the applicant to have a specific set of skills and qualifications and recent applicable work experience, therefore rendering most of them unsuitable for me to even apply for.

It sicken’s me that that I'm waking up on a daily basis & seeing that whilst i am long-term unemployed at the hands of an out-of-touch and incompetent government that has no idea on the reality and daily struggles of an ordinary man or woman in this country, personally i am a striver and I do genuinely want to work, and I am trying hard everyday to do so, applying for any job vacancy that I'm suitably skilled for. 

This Tory Government likes to harp on endlessly about how “It should pay for people to work in this country” and they're planning to cap welfare/social security benefits, yet they lack a clear and credible plan to actually create the jobs that are pretty much non-existent in this country. It has been said today that there are 130,000 JSA Claimants over the age of 25 that have been unemployed for 2 years or more which is the category that I unfortunately fall under.

This out-of-touch CONservative/Lib Dem coalition need to start focusing their efforts into just HOW they will create the jobs and growth in this country that is so desperately needed, instead of brainwashing the minds of the working classes with lies about how all the unemployed people in this country are nothing but “Scroungers”. 

They make tax-cuts for the employed/ and welfare cuts for the unemployed/sick and disabled, they truly are as i have said before and will keep on saying, completely out of touch, incompetent and yet they seem to want everyone in this country to work and pay their way, yet they punish the unemployed whilst they are genuinely trying so hard to look for work that simply is not there for people, admittedly there is a section of the unemployed people in this country that are playing the system and don’t want to work, but there is also the high majority that actually do want to work and make a better life for themselves but are being prevented from doing so as the opportunities simply are not there.

It is completely unacceptable to make the unemployed/sick & disabled people of this country suffer in a poverty trap they are unable to climb out of we are a developed country the 7th richest country in the world NOT a third world country. Most our people in this poverty trap on benefits are not being able to afford to eat sufficiently each and every day and many are suffering with malnutrition and weigh-loss. Now the question that needs to be raised here is, What employer will offer a job to somebody who is showing clear signs of malnutrition and weakness and are unable to present themselves cleanly and smartly? It is a commonly known expectation of most employer’s that you should be clean and presentable and smart and well nourished when going to interviews etc, and this means the expense of money, hair-cuts, interview clothing and footwear, the laundry of clothes, the travel expenses etc, yet this government can provide NO financial assistance for these things for the long-term unemployed. When a jobseeker is placed onto the ‘Work Programme’, the relationship between the jobcentre and the JSA claimant penultimately ends, and all the the jobcentre offers to these people is to accept a ‘Drop & Go’ form from the claimant once per fortnight. There is no fund held by the jobcentre’s to assist claimant’s with the purchase of interview clothing/footwear , or travel expenses (without an application that takes 10-14 days to process) to attend any interview that was offered. There is also NO investment in the training and development of JSA claimants, only an expectation for them to get into work, and without any investment in our people it is only reasonably expected that the majority will enter into unskilled, dead end jobs with no scope whatsoever for career development.

I would also like to point out some recent observations in the news to anyone reading my blog:

• UK survey suggests country is heading for a Triple-Dip recession in 2013.
• 1 million people have taken out pay-day loans as a last ditch desperate attempt for survival in this country last year.
• 130,000 jobless people in this country that have been out of work for 2 years or more and are over the age of 25.
• Labour introduce a plan that will guarantee jobs for the 130,000 people affected by long-term unemployment, which will provide them a job lasting for 6 months.

Well it has to be said that I along with many,many others did not enjoy a Happy New Year last night! Personally i spent it at home alone, bored and broke and unemployed, without not even the slightest sip of alcohol, all whilst the government the ones who put and have kept me in this position through their ridiculous policies were enjoying their champagne and 12,500 fireworks in London which i must add is all at the cost of the taxpayer!!

The highlight of watching the firework display in London last night for me was hearing “Dizzee Rascals– Bonkers” playing as part of the soundtrack. “Some people pay for thrills but this government get theirs for FREE” All at the cost and sacrifice of the very people they are mean’t to represent. At the start of this very important and decisive year in politics, we are looking at a financially corrupted coalition government led by the tories and David Cameron who seems to like singing his and the conservative party’s own praises, never before have i heard a prime minister’s voice played over a new years firework celebrations saying “Were doing it right” it almost made me physically sick having to listen to that complete and utter pile of BS to be quite honest.

If the tories mission is to destroy this country and destroy the livelihoods of our own people then I'd agree with them that they are “Doing it right” but they seem to think that this country is on the right track, yet we have more businesses going bankrupt by the day, more jobs been lost by the day, unemployment soaring, people living in poverty at an all time high and streets of homeless people, so i beg to differ with them on how they seem to think that this country is on any sort of a right track. It seems to me that the tories are nothing short of a bunch of over-educated, stupidly rich and incompetent bunch of fools. They are so “Out of touch” with the ordinary guy in this country that it really beggars belief.

The very people that this government are consigning to the scrap heap of poverty and unemployment,sickness and disability are punished even further through cuts in welfare and being placed on an unfit for purpose “Work Programme”which has been little to no good in actually getting the unemployed people of this country back into full-time and permanent job roles with scope for career development and progression and a chance to earn a decent living wage.

In 2013 my struggle continues along with 2.6 Million others in finding employment, in a battle against the statistics, and also in a fight against the corrupted criminal politicians who rule over all of us. Heartless and out touch politicians must change their ways or change their careers.

The Advancing threat of #ISIS #IslamicState & theunfolding #CalaisCrisis #OperationStack

The ongoing advance of the Islamic State throughout vast chunks of the Middle East is of a deep concern to people around the world. Equally concerning is how the crisis in Calais has been created because people are running for their lives from these radicalized Islamic State militants.

So far the British government has been slow to react to both the crisis in Calais along with combatting the advancing threats of Islamic State terrorists on Western society. The threats to our country at this time have never been higher since the last World War, these threats are increased further with recent unfolding events in Calais along with Operation Stack which has brought the M20 to a complete standstill over recent days.

What we are essentially seeing here is that tens of thousands of people are fleeing from their native countries in the Middle East in search of a better life. For these people have no alternative because their own governments have been unable to protect their safety and welfare. 

Vast proportions of the Middle East have fallen under the barbaric control of Islamic State radicalized terrorists. These terrorists are even prepared to stoop so low as to kill their own people in order to exact their revenge on the West. So this has nothing to do with the religion of Islam this is about a growing number of radicalised extremist nutjobs who pose not only a risk to the western civilians they've beheaded to send a message to the West, but also to their own people who fail to conform to their radicalised vision of Islam. Islamic State terrorists pose a credible threat to every man, woman and child on the face of this earth . This is how the crisis in Calais on the Channel Tunnel has developed into what we have seen over recent days. 

These people have fled from their own countries in genuine fear for their lives to neighboring EU countries. They see Britain as the golden land of opportunity and riches, which makes people increasingly desperate to get here in a search of a better life for themselves and their families.

We cannot really blame these migrants for wanting safety and better futures, but it is not the responsibility of Britain to take in these people and allow them to settle here. This is especially so at a time when the effects of Austerity and Public Sector cuts are biting hard in many areas of the country. Unfortunately Britain is but only a small country in a wider comparison to the rest of the world and our infrastructure can only feasibly cope with a certain population of people.

Our country can also ill afford the very real risks that Islamic State terrorists may try to gain entry into Britain under the disguise of innocent civilians fleeing for their lives. In fact it has been reported by Lorry drivers in the port of Calais have witnessed some migrants brandishing knives and guns. We mustn't forget that it was not so long ago that a terrorist lone-wolf attack took place in the heart of Paris, so unfortunately as long as Britain remains a part of the EU then our freedom and long term prosperity is at incredible risk. If a terrorist extremist can find a path into France then the next step  will be that they could feasibly try to invade via the Channel Tunnel linking to Dover in the U.K. 

So far David Cameron has pledged financial support for France in order to boost defenses in the form of additional security fences around the port of Calais and the entrance to the Channel Tunnel in addition to sending a few guard dogs over there. This falls way too short of the military response that's drastically required. 

The security fences in Calais have not been sufficient to protect the site from the vast amounts of migrants, trying to gain unauthorized entry to the Channel Tunnel to eventually gain illegal entry into the U.K.

I will be watching with very close attention this crisis and I hope that the British government will do the right thing and send in the military. That's the kind of emergency response that's needed and has so far been lacking from any action taken by David Cameron, this is a true test of leadership for any prime minister and so far the Conservatives continue to fail the British people with their sheer incompetence.

All too often in our modern society we have many British people who are trapped in rundown and unmaintained accommodation rented from unscrupulous and greedy private landlords in all areas of our country.

Whilst it is an admirable act to provide private rented accommodation to people, it is absolutely disgraceful to offer accommodation if the property is unmaintained and in a major state of disrepair. These kind of private landlords are making exceptional profits from the rental income they receive from local councils and hard working people and they invest absolutely nothing back into their properties for the effective long term upkeep and maintenance standards of them.

In fact my own landlord who is the director of Worcester Lettings & Developments is one of the top receivers of housing benefit in the City of Worcester. Last year official statistics and research conducted by The Daily Mirror discovered that Worcester Lettings & Developments received a grand total of £147,026 throughout the last financial year. 

This kind of selfish greed just destroys the tenants lives who are made to live in such properties and these issues can have serious ramifications on a persons wellbeing both physically and mentally, which is completely abhorrent and morally wrong on every level.

Across the UK there are now more than 9 Million people in privately rented accommodation, which includes over 1.3 Million families with young children. Unfortunately in many areas of Britain it is extremely difficult for anyone on benefits to be able to rent accommodation in the private sector. There are often a select minority of Private Landlords in all towns and cities across the UK who are willing to accept tenants on housing benefit. 

The very real problems that we have in the UK right now are that Homelessness and tenants living in poorly maintained & inadequate housing are all contributing towards a national housing crisis.

When I make mention of Private Landlords who fail to keep their properties up to standard and consistently shirk their responsibilities to their tenants, it is important to remember that this is the case for some and not all private landlords. Mainly some of these dodgy private landlords that I speak of are mainly renting properties to people in receipt of housing benefit. It seems that they have a loathing contempt for anyone who depends on benefits and they must see it as acceptable to ignore maintenance issues as their main focus is to extract as much rental income from the property as possible without putting a penny back in as investment towards the long-term upkeep of their entire property portfolio in some areas of the country.

It is completely unacceptable and downright disgraceful for any businessman to make a business which in essence makes exceptional profits from other people's suffering and misfortune. The only people who ever pay the price for such corrupted behavior are the tenants themselves and all too often we are seeing people's Physical & Mental health being degraded when they are stuck in poorly maintained properties in the private sector. 

Unfortunately U.K. Legislation is currently protecting these breed of rogue landlords as although they are duty bound to keep their properties to certain standards of maintenance, the law allows them to evict tenants who follow official protocol and report these issues to the council for action to be taken. The law should be in favour of the tenants who are often made to pay the ultimate price of their physical and metal health living in such situations of squalor on a day to day basis. 

In my own situation I am currently renting a one bedroomed flat in a not so affluent area of Worcester from a landlord who I have since found to be one of the worst landlords in the city. The flat I'm currently renting has major maintenance issues including but not limited to, a leaking roof which has made the bedroom in the property completely inhabitable. The leak is coming from the roof because the property has a flat roof construction with no felt or insulation of any kind in place. This causes water to leak into the corner wall of the bedroom and the surrounding walls which you can see from the photos in this article. In the winter months this causes the temperature inside the property to plummet and last winter these conditions almost claimed my life.

In addition to the roof leaking there are a number of other issues with the property including a blocked kitchen drain, leaking toilet, huge gaps in the fitting of the Windows and a total of just one radiator in the property that actually functions.

As you can see in this photo the blockage of the drainage system in the Kitchen is causing bucket loads of water to leak from the waste pipe which is supposed to be for a washing machine. It is impossible to have a washing machine in the property because of how this pipe is blocked. This means that for all my laundry requirements I have to take my clothes to a local launderette to be washed and dried.

I have notified the landlord about these issues on several occasions now and each time I am consistently fobbed off by the landlord who says he will get the maintenance guy round. I have only ever seen this maintenance guy on 2 occasions the first being when I viewed the property in the Summer of 2014. At this time the severe maintenance issues were not apparent to me as the weather was dry and the issues must have been masked over in order to get a tenant moved into the property. The second time I saw the maintenance guy was when he came round to have a look at the leak in the roof in Winter last year and at this point he simply looked at the roof and stated "Oh it's not as bad as I thought it would be, I'll let the landlord know", this was the last time I saw the maintenance guy. Although he does spend a lot of time parked outside the landlords property in his pretty little blue van that the landlord bought for him, he apparently doesn't actually do a great deal of work. I've seen him in the local newsagents on a number of occasions buying 40 cigarettes at a time and just going and sitting in his van outside the landlords well maintained property on Tolladine Road, Worcester and doing absolutely nothing whilst the landlords tenants are suffering in delapidated Properties with maintenance issues completely unaddressed. 

This is part of a wider problem in the U.K. right now and seems to commonly prevail in Worcester amongst private landlords who rent properties to people in receipt of housing benefit. It increasingly seems that these landlords find it acceptable to degrade and punish their tenants for being on housing benefits. They see it as acceptable to ignore maintenance issues and force their tenants to live in states of severe disrepair whilst they reap the profits from their tenants suffering and get to go to sleep in a warm bed each night with a nice well maintained roof over their heads. I really don't know how these landlords are able to sleep at night knowing full well the misery and suffering  they are causing their tenants, I suggest that these people lack any sort of empathy or common respect for people and they most certainly lack a good heart.

I am all for good business ethics and I will always wholeheartedly recommend a good business when I come across one as you can see from my review articles posted on this website. However when there are rogue businesses in operation who make exceptional profits from the suffering of others, this is something that I am firmly against and I will use every opportunity I have to speak out against bad business ethics and corruption which nobody should tolerate in this country as it is abhorrently disgraceful.
